The initial concept behind this installation was to recreate the sensation of being in close proximity to a waterfall—a natural phenomenon that we rarely encounter in our daily environments, making it a surprising discovery when suddenly found. By executing the work on a large scale of 12 meters, it introduces an unexpected, almost disruptive element into the existing architectural space.

My objective was to surprise the viewer within the physical world, offering a counterpoint to our virtual reality. This monumental structure demands an immediate pause and provokes direct interaction.

This sculptural piece, standing at a height of 25 cm, was primarily crafted from glass to form a textured wall that mimics the visual effect of water crashing and splashing against rocks.

This glass object was integrated into a custom designed lamp. When illuminated, the unique fluid texture of the glass wall functions as an organic diffuser, softening the light to create a gentle, atmospheric glow.

This series of sculptural glass vases interprets the gravitational plunge of water through an opening, inspired by cave waterfalls. Created using fusing technology, the glass was melted in the kiln from a height. The innovation of this project lies in utilizing gravity itself as a direct sculpting tool during the fusing process, allowing nature to physically co-create the organic, unrepeatable forms of the glass.

The pieces capture various states of fluid nature: a distinct brown-amber hue mimics contaminated currents, while sandblasting is used to recreate the characteristic matte opacity of rushing, frothy water (heights: 15–30 cm).

Developed under the semester theme "Organic Structures," this project explores the unique phenomenon of falling water, a powerful natural occurrence that individuals rarely experience from immediate, immersive proximity. The research investigates the materiality and sensory presence of a waterfall through experimental sculptural forms. Utilizing glass, textiles, foils, plastics, expanding foam, the works recreate tactile and visual impressions of water in various states: from dense streams and frozen surfaces to delicate, thread-like flows.
