event lamp
design problem
Outdoor festivals or private events typically take place on open, large areas, mostly at night. It’s essential to illuminate areas where participants can rest away from crowded spaces or concert stages. The atmosphere in such places should be nostalgic, allowing for relaxation and conversation with friends. The lighting should ensure we see the people we talk to while feeling safe and comfortable. The design should also blend naturally with the outdoor environment.
assumptions
– portable,
– user-interactive,
– illuminates areas around people
– organic form,
– soft light,
– made of lightweight material

prototyping
PVC foil and LED strips were used to create prototypes. The inflatable material allows the lamp to be transported anywhere easily. The LED diodes are soldered in series and programmed with a chip code, making the light gently pulse, giving the impression of breathing.
final concept
The final model achieves a varying light intensity effect by rotating the lamp and changing the shape. The form resembles jellyfish char- acteristics, blending with the natural environment.
The lamp is powered by a 12V power bank placed in a dedicat- ed pocket, enabling it to be used an where without worrying about power access.

The outcome is the lamp that is easily portable/ movable. It is intended for festivals, events, that create specific calming athmosphere, also due to changing/ pulsating the intensity of light. Due to its made out of inflatable pvc foil its possible to moge it to far place and doesnt need to be connected to power source. This is a prototype, and still not developed that much that could be implemented in a bigger scale, but its possible to still develop it more, esspecialy the pocket for the electric system, that will be more secured.
